How can South African’s make money through Spreadshirt.com
As South African’s we can not open up an account with spreadshirt from our country. This is what i did, and they said it’s ok, (i did contact them and ask about this)

Just pick another country, ie: UK or Australia…
But first, if you want to make money from overseas sites selling your own tshirts or tshirt designs, you need to open up a paypal account to receive payments in dollars.. ————————————————————————————————————————

You need a credit card to open up a paypal account, you can try with your debit card, but i’m really not sure if you can open up an account with a debit card.
I used my credit card to open up my account with paypal, before there was such a thing as linking FNB with paypal…
I don’t use spreadshirt.com that much, but thought it be cool to try.
I opened up an account years back and figured this all out.
I tired running my own FREE tshirt SHOP, but did not make any sales, as the target audience is for overseas really.
How-ever i did try out selling my tshirt designs through their marketplace…
I created just 3 designs and uploaded them and actually forgot about them and started getting mails, you sold a design, you sold a design, and year later or so, logged in and saw i had made some money.
So it can be done and if your serious, you can make a ton of money, i just had 3 designs and did make some sales, here is some proof:

ME> COOL ! I will re-draw this in my own style and basically do a my own spin off remix of this design !!
This Design will be printed on a black shirt, so I’m going to design just the foreground and colour the foreground of the design, the background will be the black shirt, so this will be tricky to highlight just the important areas with out having a clear outline around the design..
Here you can see how the process has gone, this is being done in adobe illustrator cs6.
Some of the images, i have shown you how the background looks with different colour or with out a background, I’m still busy with this, but here is what i’ve done so far:7/7/2014

What is the difference between 145gram tshirt and 180gram tshirt?
what is the difference between cotton comb and carded cotton?
What is the best tshirt to use?
Depending on where you get your tshirts from, which supplier you use. Most suppliers sell promotional tshirts from 135gram to 210gram.
Some suppliers have decent quality 145gram promotional tshirts.
We use 2 suppliers which are in this ebook> tshirtprintingbusiness.co.za and their 145gram shirts are cotton comb, this means that the cotton is combed through.
This gives the t-shirt a soft feel to it.
If you want a promotional tshirt that is good quality then pick a 145gram tshirt that is cotton combed.
if it is not cotton combed and you buy from a china supplier, you may end up with a tshirt that will stretch and just is not that great quality…
What is surf wear quality?
Surf wear tshirts range from 165gram to 210gram tshirts. Billabong / Quicksilver / Tapout /Badboy generally use 165gram / 180gram / 200gram Cotton comb tshirts to print on.
What is 180 / 185 gram carded cotton tshirt?
Carded cotton is a harder cotton, it’s thick, but not as soft as a cotton comb tshirt.
Carded is good to print on, it has a tough feel and is generally a excellent tshirt to use for tshirt printing.
200gram tshirts are generally caded cotton and feel like the thickest tshirts you can buy to print on. The only thing is in the tshirt printing industry, the suppliers do not sell many colours of this type of shirt.
We use all types of tshirts depending on the job.
145gram for promotional purposes, 160 gram cotton comb for high quality surf wear feel.
170gram is also excellent, but more expensive.
180 gram carded cotton and 200gram carded cotton tshirts.
another factor we as tshirt printers need to cater for, is our suppliers don’t always have stock of certain colours in certain grammage. So we have to get what is available..
